This a Writers’ Guild of Alberta event.
Open mic sign-up starts at 7pm. There are 12 5-minute slots available and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Our April featured reader is the wonderful Okechukwu Nnamci
Okechukwu Emmanuel Nnamchi is a Nigerian poet living and studying in Calgary, Alberta. When he is not attending school or working, he is writing not only poetry but also compositions concerning the complexities of life for his book in the works. Being relatively new to the Calgary literary Community, he has read his numerous poems and performed spoken word poetry at events which include: The Pitbull Poetry In The Park reading series curated by the City of Calgary poet Laurette, Wakefield Brewster; The Peoples Poetry Festival curated by Lisa Murphy Lamb; The “You Should Know” poetry event at the Grand Theatre Calgary; and the Alcove Live Artist Showcase: Chinook blast edition.
